Typical Claims
(Our Care Center will take the time to explain the entire process so that we can start the recovery process. We will gladly answer all of your questions and offer some great advice to meet your family’s needs.
Although this is often a formality, we will reach out to your insurance adjuster to make sure that you have the expected contents coverage. If it is discovered that you are “under-insured” we will work with you to formulate a plan to save what is most important.
Our experienced Project Managers will be immediately scheduled to come out to your home to begin the recovery process. They will assess the damage and suggest the best plan of action for your family’s specific needs. Their expertise can help determine which items are affected and whether or not they will restore.)
Our pack-out team will document the conditions and items being removed by taking photographs of the loss site.)
We will help you prioritize your fabric items into delivery groups based on where and when you will need them returned. The number of deliveries will often depend on the severity of the damage, the time of year and how long you will be out of your home. These groups allow us to deliver to you what you need and when you need it. We will gladly store the items you do not need until your home is ready for their return. It is common for us to recommend the following deliveries groups:
- Rush (delivered to your hotel or emergency residence)
- Short Term (delivered to a second home, temporary rental house, extended stay or trailer on your property)
- Long Term (delivered back to your home once all work is done)
Our pack-out team will carefully gather, protect and pack your affected items into bar-coded containers for safe transportation back to our facility.
Each item will be entered into our industry leading, inventory control system where a fabric barcode will be carefully and temporarily attached to each item. We do not take any chances with your items; they are tracked and scanned through every step of the process from the moment they leave your home until they are scanned back into your possession.
We invented the amazing Fabric Renewal Cleaning System to thoroughly and gently restore all your fabric items to their pre-loss condition. We utilize over 30 unique cleaning processes so that we are always cleaning your items in the safest and most affective way possible.
The “rush” items are the first delivery group to be returned to you at a location of your choice. These are the critical items your family needs to continue with normal daily activities or for an upcoming event or trip. Most people establish a few weeks worth of items to be included in the rush delivery.
We will gladly store the items that you do not need until your home is ready for their return.
We provide you with access to your items throughout the entire claims process. If you are going to be out of your home for longer then you anticipated you are welcome to come in and visit your clothing and our team. We call these “home owner visits” and this is your chance to go through your items and pull out anything you would like to have delivered. Common reasons for a Home Owner Visit are a change of season or an upcoming event or trip.
We have strong relationships with all the major insurance companies and will gladly bill your insurance company directly for our services. Direct billing takes the burden of pricing and coordinating payments off of your plate.
At Fabric Renewal we are so confident in our service that we will not charge for items that we are not able to restore. A list of “rejected” items will be provided to your insurance company so that they can properly compensate you for these items. You can rest assured that if Fabric Renewal cannot restore your items that they are beyond repair.
Our delivery team will carefully scan each package back into your home to make sure all items were accounted for. For your convenience, all packages are grouped according to type of contents (men’s, women’s, children’s, outerwear, household, draperies, etc.). For a small additional fee, items can be completely separated, returned and unpacked to their exact location within the home—requires adjuster approval.
Our delivery team can carefully lay your rugs back to their location and expertly hang and dress your draperies as they were prior to the claim.
